Ok, started my first real day of teaching today.

I need to get my 'teacher voice' back. At the end of the day, I could feel that my throat was a little sore.

Saw three classes today. One I had never met before, as there was an evacuation drill last Wednesday when I was supposed to go in to meet them. They were quite rowdy, but I think that this is quite an intelligent class.

I also saw a NT class (I'll see them everyday). Also rowdy, especially some boys at the back. One thing I do not like about this class is the seating arrangement. The form teacher has arranged them such that all the boys are together on one side, and all the girls are together on the other side.

The third class I saw today was very well behaved.

I think they're not used to my asking them so many questions yet.

Oh yes, I've also got to set a test for next Monday. Which effectively leaves me just tonight to set the paper, as the acting head only has tomorrow to vet it, and then I can make amendments and send it out for printing on Wednesday. Very rushed. Sigh. I guess that comes from having a three day week. Ah well.

Ok, gotta go set the paper now.
