Am in Brisbane right now. Sitting in an internet cafe run by a Korean. He also has a section of comics.
Weather so far is ok - mostly sunny, but it drizzles once in a while.
So far, we've seen the bank, Queen Street Mall, Roma Street Parkland, went for a Brewery Tour, and went down to Gold Coast - Surfer's Paradise (which was mostly disappointing). Visited Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum and the Wax Museum's Chanber of Horrors. Also saw the arcade at Centro Surfer's Paradise - it has some interesting games - s.a. a sword fighting one, and a virtual reality shooting game. Other comments? Hmm... the coin machine - you know, the one where you put in coins hoping to push a whole pile down - is slightly different. It has a jackpot machine element to it. Not sure how it works, though. Oh yes, it also has a horse-racing machine.
Other than that. the only thing worth mentioning is that we took a train to Surfer's, and it was supposed to be a direct train to Nerang, and then a bus from Nerang to Surfer's. However, due to trackworks being conducted that day, we had to detrain at Sunnybank, and be bused (bussed sp???) to Kingston, where we boarded another traing to Nerang. Fortunately, on the way back, they decided to bus us directly to the city itself.
The hotel is ok - vert centrally located, which is good.
