Thurs 25 Sept 2008

Another day of facilitation at RP.  This time, I had full attendance.
Had a Kiwi fruit during the break, and salad + roasted chicken breast for lunch.

After surfing for a while, I got down to marking the compo for the evening classes.  Although I was not done marking, I stopped at 2pm cos I was tired of marking.  Surfed a while more and then went down for class.

When class was over, I drove to Thomson and parked at my usual place.  I had left immediately as I had planned to have dinner at the little cafe there.  However, they were closed for a private function.  So I had dinner at Sushi Teh instead. (and completed my marking there)

After which, I withdrew some $$.

I inquired about a replacement air purifier from the same place I had got my first purifier.  That was the one I bought for Montfort, but since I forgot to claim for it, I brought it back.  However, when I took it out to use it in my room, there was a large crack in the container.  It has not leaked yet, so I'm still considering getting a new one.

The purifiers are free if you buy two bottles of the fragrance @ $28 per bottle.  Otherwise, it'll cost $28.  There is also a purifier cum ioniser for $48, or free with 4 bottles.  I am leaning towards that, but the $112 it'll set me back is stopping me.

So I strolled over to HomeFix to see if I could find any mini-drawer units to store my beads.  No drawer units of any sort, but I bought various gauges of brass wire.  :)

Then it was off to class.

After class, I drove back home, had a shower and surfed the internet.

Did not go anywhere today.  Lazed around in the morning with Mr Milo. After he went off to work, I got to working on my room.  It is getting there.  There is light at the end of the tunnel.  Yay.

Then, went over to Mum's for dinner - seafood paella and roast veg and grilled mushroom salad. Very yummy.  I ate a lot of the salad and some of the seafood in the paella.  How could I not?

I also ate a cupcake.  Mum made cupcakes, and had value added to them with pink cream(homemade butter) and strawberries.  I know I'm not supposed to eat cupcakes, but I just could not resist. :P

Food Journal:
Breakfast - hardboiled egg,
Break - kiwi fruit
Lunch - fried frozen veg and prawns, seasoned with oregano, basil and tomato blend and salt.
Dinner - black chicken soup,  grilled mushroom salad, some squid and italian sausage and 1 cupcake

JH still wasn't feeling too hot, so we did not go to East Coast.

More pottering around in my room.

Went to PIL's for dinner.  JB and CL were there for a short while before going back to prepare for their flight to Egypt for a 2 week holiday.  Of course, FIL was critical of their leaving their son, comparing them to SIL who has never been away from her children for even 1 day.  sigh.
But Mr Milo asked him whether he wanted JB to carry a large umbrella over his son every sunny day just like SIL as well.

Went back home and caught some F! qualifying round action on TV.

Food Journal:
Breakfast - hard-boiled egg.
Lunch - fried frozen veg and prawns
Dinner - Green veg, mussles and 1 prawn

Gratitude Journal:
I am grateful that my PILs are healthy.

Sunday 28 Sept 2008
Pottered around my room for a little.   Discovered that the air purifier is leaking from the crack.  Guess I really have to go get a new one after all.

Then went for lunch at a restaurant in AMK - Gim Tian?  Something like that.  157 AMK Ave 4.  Hokkien food that was rather good.  I was 95% full.  Very close to overeating. Had hae zo, 2 types of veg, crispy chicken, fish maw soup and hokkien noodles.  I did not eat the noodles.

After that, went for accu and massage.  After the last massage, I was tender for at least 2 days after, so was not really looking forward to this one.  The accu was on  my front (tummy and legs) again.  Much more uncomfortable than accu on my back.  My back is not so sensitive to the needles entering.  Massage on tummy again, this time for the full 40 mins.  My tummy was not very tender by then, but the massage was very painful.  So she did some heat treatment (moxibuxtion - using a heated glass jar/cup with a vaccum created in it by burning up the oxygen in it).  After the heat treatment, it was much better - much less painful.  She advised me against dringking cold drinks.  The cold makes my intestines sieze up, causing the pain and tenderness.  Anyway, I lost 200g, which is not much, but is pretty good for a Sunday session, seeing that for all previous Susday sessions, I had maintained the weight.

After that, I was considering going over to OG to buy the Sudden Glow make-up, and the motorised swiffer thing, but did not.  I went over to Pacific Plaza instead, and collected my free top. I wanted a bottom, but they're not in yet, and so had to settle for a top.

Saw 3 Ferraris outside Royal Plaza on Scotts.  Driven by 3 TCS artistes.  I was Christopher Lee, I think.  I looked from a distance, so cannot be sure.  I went to the CD shop at Pacific Plaza, and bought 3 CDs - Marie Digby, Corrine Bailey Rae and Gwen Stefani.

Came back by bus - 162M fro Royal Plaza to MacRitchie, and then 74 back home.

Prepared dinner of fried frozen veg, and then caught some of the F1.  Caught the start up till the 1st (minor) crash.  But they were taking a long time, and I needed a bath, so I went upstairs.

Tried my portable DVD player, but it could not read any of my 3 CDs, so I gave up.  I found the mp3 files on the storage folder JH set up, so played around with iTunes for quite a bit, trying to figure out how it works.  Finally managed to transfer some music over.

After that, Mr Milo and I booked tickets to Perth.  13 Dec 08 (Sat) Dep 15:50 Arv 22:05 Flight TR716, 28 Dec 08 (Sun) Dep 22:35 Arv 02:50 TR717.  Cost us $1617.96 with 15kg baggage each.
