Christmas came somewhat early for us this year.
Well, Mr Milo and I will be leaving for a break this Sat (13 Dec) and will be away from Christmas. Because he's got a company dinner on Friday, we brought forward our Friday night dinner with Mum till today (Mon, also Hari Raya Haji, a public holiday - Selamat Hari Raya!). And since it is our last family dinner before we fly off, we decided to make it a Christmas dinner.
Since I still had a leg of lamb in the freezer, I volunteered to cook the lamb. I made the beer and rosemary lamb again. This time, with the dried rosemary from Mum's garden. (I fancy that the lamb was tastier with fresh rosemary, though.) This time, I had managed to marinate the lamb overnight (taken out of freezer to defrost on Friday, marinated Sunday night).
In the fridge, I had a pat of Philly Cream Cheese due to expire while we are in Perth, so I decided to make a Japanese cheese cake as well.
While that was baking, I prepared the vegetables for roasting - sweet potato, red and white, potato, pumpkin and green pepper, and popped in in while the cake was still baking. Not ideal, I know, but I was running short of time. Once the cake was done (clean skewer), the lamb went in.
Unfortunately, the cake was still very moist, so I brought it over to Mum's to finish it.
Dinner was a lavish affair. There was the lamb, roast vegetables, salad and a smoked ham. For dessert, there was the cheese cake (a little too brown, though not at all burnt, but yummy), chocolate mousse log cake Mum got from Goodwood Park Hotel, and Haagen Daz ice-cream WL brought. Dessert wassplit into two sittings. The cakes first, and the ice-cream just before we left.

My loot included:
Green Tea from DB,
Le Cruset pot from Mum,
Coach wristlet and Origins relax set - Peace of Mind, No Puffery and Eye mask from Kor and WL.

Thanks all! Love the gifts!
Mr Milo received:
A nice lunch box set from Mum - it floats!
a box of sweets from DB
a cool t-shirt and a wallet from Kor and WL
