Had a nice day with the Hubby

I had my 36 week doctor's appointment in the morning which Mr Milo accompanied me to.  This time, the appointment was fixed at 10am instead of the usual 9+ as we were going to attend the Labour Talk that Dr Kee would be giving at 1pm.

The clinic was unusually quiet and we were done in less than half an hour from arrival at TMC.  (We arrived at about 10am, and were back downstairs at about 10:32am.  Baby is now between 2.3 and 2.8kg and my haemoglobin levels are up, so that's good.  Next visit in a week's time (!)

We then drove over to United Square.  We walked around for a bit before stopping at Bakerz Inn for a leisurely brunch.  I had Dory with tomato pasta and Mr Milo had teriyaki chicken with rice and we shared a New York Cheesecake.

We left at 12:30+ and Mr Milo dropped me off and went to park the car at a public car park opposite TMC.

Dr Kee had closed his clinic for the afternoon to hold the Labour Talk.  There were 5 couples in all.  Most of the mothers looked like we were about to deliver soon save for 1, who was still quite small (even by my standard, since everyone says I'm carrying small).  The talk was very informative, and somewhat scary, with all that can go wrong during delivery.  Praying for an easy,  uncomplicated natural delivery with no need for an emergency C-section.  Am glad that Dr Kee validated my 'see how' approach.  When asked by others if I am going for epidural or not, my response is 'see how' / play it by ear / depends ... on what the labour is like.   I mean, if I can cope with the pain/discomfort, then maybe not.  If I cannot cope, then yes, I will take it. But it was good to have his reassurance that epidurals nowadays do not cause the side effects they used to years and years ago.

After the talk, Mr Milo and I made our way to Chinatown to The Studio Loft's studio for some photos.  They are having a Mother's Day promotion for the month of May - $50 for a 15 min photography session with 2 edited soft copies.  Husbands can be in the picture at no extra charge.  We were shot by Maryann and had fun.  Apparently, I am the first pregnant Mum to take advantage of the promotion.  We only prepared one outfit each - jeans with black top, so Maryann loaned me a white outfit to change into.  We had fun, and in the end, chose 3 photos because Mr Milo thought that we should pick one photo of me alone and liked a particular one (3rd one at $15 for touched up print and soft copy - they will print the other two for us too.  Sweet.)  Can't wait for the photos to be edited and we can download / collect them.

We then had a simple dinner and went home.

All in all, a lovely day with the hubby.
