Had a little 'staycation' with the Hubs and the Little One over the weekend. Will blog about that experience in a later post, but just wanted to get off a quick post about the place itself.
It was kind of a last minute decision/booking, and thus the family-oriented Festive Hotel was out of normal rooms. Only Family Suites available at $640++ available, and I was not willing to pay that. So it was a Hard Rock Hotel Deluxe Twin for us.
And it worked out really well. The room we got (538) was close to the entrance to the pool (2nd floor, same lift, useful when we want to go back to the room quickly so as to minimise the time baby was exposed to the airconditioning) and also to the shortcut to the shopping area through the Convention Centre (same lift). We got a Deluxe King after all as one was available when we checked in. Our room had a pool view, and the Little One loved looking at the goings on through the picture window.
My only grouse is that the hotel and room was much too dark. Good for the moody, sexy feel that HRH was going for, but not so much for an old fogey like me who prefers to be able to see everything clearly.
