The Body Worlds Exhibition has opened in Singapore.
At one stage, it was uncertain if the exhibition would even open in Singapore although they had already set up at the Singapore Expo because the authorities had yet to give the go-ahead. They were concerned about the 'gruesome-ness' of the exhibition which displays real corpses and body parts. Many people wrote in to the newpapers about why the exhibition should open, and others, why it should not. Ah well, free publicity, right? Anyway, the first weekend alone saw some 5000 visitors. (Yay for free publicity!)
The Significant Other (SO) aka DH wanted to visit it in Munich when we were there for half a day in June (enroute to Austria), and was disappointed when he could not get through to the number given on the poster. So yay! Now he has another opportunity to visit the exhibition. As the exhibition will be opened till Feb '04, we did not rush - I have an aversion to crowds.
