Man, this is a bad day. First, bad service from the Transcab call centre. Then, as I was typing the previous entry on the above matter, I get a call from the past.
Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant blast from the past.
There's this guy I used to know, who would call me up and pour all his woes on me. I used to listen and try to encourage him, but I soon realised that that was not what he wanted. He basicially wanted me to listen to him pour out his woes and say "you poor thing". If I recall correctly, he used to see a shrink. He has all these grand dreams and plans, but when they fail, he blames everyone but himself. Very annoying, and very tiring to talk to, simply because he won't get off the phone!
Eons ago, if my mum and bro happened to pick up the phone when he called, would tell him that I was busy or not in. When I married and moved, my brother was instructed not to give him my in-laws' number.
So I'd been living peacefully for 5 years now.
Today, out of the blue, he calls me. AHHHHH!!!!! I asked him how he got my number, and after a long rigmarole, he tells me that he got it from my in-laws. ARGHH!!!!!!!
I don't know how he got *their* number in the first place, but *argh!* why did they give him my number? Must tell them tonight, that if anyone calls for me, on no account to give them my number, but to get the caller's name and number and pass it to me. I mean, if a 'friend' does not have my current number, it is obviously not a close or important 'friend', right?
