Dream Board

I saw on a snippet of Oprah where she mentioned Dream/Vision boards and the Law of Attraction.  Now I am already familiar with the law of attraction, and am not opposed to it.  To me, it makes sense.  Like attracts like.  Happy people, positive people attract happy, positive people to them.  Depressed, negative people will attract depressed, negative people.  It is partly 'birds of a feather flock together', and partly when you are a happy, positive person, and you meet a group of people, you tend to want to hang out with the happy, positive people, because 1) you notice these happy, positive people right off the bat, and 2) you don't really want to hang out with the depressed, negative people who will only drag you down with them because that is their outlook on life and cannot see life another way at that point in time. And vice versa, of course.

Oprah's understanding is different from mine. In that when one thinks about or visualises something, or is giving off a certain vibe, the universe listens and gives it to you.  I think it is one step up from my understanding of the Laws of Attraction.  I'm not so sure about the universe thingy, though.  As I am Christian, I think of it as God at work.

Setting up a Dream/Vision Board to me, is a way of visualising what you want, and to remind yourself of your goals, and thus to kick your subconscious' butt into gear.

So I'm going to dream here.  Eventually, I will also set up a Vision/Dream Board, to remind myself of my dreams visually as well, but only when I've completed my other projects, i.e. ironing, organising my room.

My Dreams
  • a clean and organised room
