On Tuesday, 2 Dec 2008, Mr Milo and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. Wow. 8 years. All in all, it's been 8 good years.
Mr Milo outdid himself this year. He booked a table at Equinox, (former Compass Rose) at the top of Fairmont Singapore, or is it Swissotel? Whichever. The view was fantastic. Made Mr Milo think that he was back in China in JX's place. :)
We had a pleasant dinner. Oysters (preparation: Bloody Mary. I still prefer my oysters au naturel. If they are totally and completely fresh, there is no need to mask their taste. Of course, it is known as enhancing the flavour, not masking it, but..) Mr Milo and black pork loin, and I had black cod with mirin sauce which was really really yummy. We then shared a dessert. I cannot remember what it is called, but it is essentially a warm chocolate cake topped with raspberry sorbet, with driedish cherries and lychee sauce (?) on the side. What ever it is called, it is the last item on the dessert menu. And it was ... wow. Especially the chocolate cake and the sorbet. The contrast of sweet and tangy, warm and cold was brilliant.
We had a nice evening chatting and enjoying one another's company.
