Happy 2009 Everyone!!!

I'm looking to buy a diary, but haven't gotten round to it yet.  Although it has already turned 2009, the bookshops are not slashing the prices on the diaries yet.  The cheapskates.  Oh wait.  That's me.  :P  Anyway,  I was thinking of getting a Moleskin one, but I don't think they'll ever slash the price of those.

So here's me summary of the first three days of 2009.

1 Jan 2009(Thurs): Spent most of the day tidying up the place and cleaning it as we were having guests over for dinner.  Oh yes, cooked some chicken curry and made a salad (watermelon and fetta) too.   Mr Milo's Swim Team friends came over.  It was a nice evening.  Ate too much though.  Beow brought over yummy fried beehoon, Bryan brought satay, Jared brought salad, Dexter, very yummy tao sah piah from 603 Balestier and Edwin, ice cream.

2 Jan 2009 (Fri): Spent most of the day sleeping.  Went to see the doctor in the morning (hadn't been feeling well for the past few days, but it became much worse after we arrived back in Sg), and the medication - cough and for the congestion - pretty much knocked me out.  Went to Mum's for dinner - she cooked up a feast - black chicken soup, sweet and sour fish, green vege (xiao bai cai) with mushroon sauce, fried liver and onions, and deep fried tao kwa with black sauce (DB's recipe).

3 Jan 2009 (Sat):  Wanted to go for a haircut this morning, but Danny's shop was shut.  Maybe I was too early and he had not started the day yet?  Must call before I go down next time.  Had lunch at Wee Nam Kee Chicken Rice at Novena with the in-laws and WL and PF (Their mum unfortunately passed away while we were in WA).  Went down to town where WL signed up for a course of accupuncture at Aimin weight loss centre, and Mr Milo bought a pair of Hi-Tec hiking boots from World of Sports who were clearing stock.  Cooked up the leftover chicken into a Japanese curry.  It is now sitting in the pot on the stove cooling down.  I will probably freeze this lot.
