Happiness! The Buangkok East Drive link is now open! It was apparently opened at 5pm last night. It basically provides residents in Punggol, Sengkang, and Punggol an alternative route to the KPE. Before it opened, the only ways for these residents to access the KPE was via the TPE which was extremely congested during peak hours, or via the street at our place. Which made getting in and out of the carpark a pain. Hopefully, with this link now open, the traffic volume there will be greately lessened, and it will return to being the slow, laidback street it had been when we first moved there.
