Went for my detailed scan at TMC on Tuesday 2 February. It cost me $130.95 with the 10% FBI discount (original px $136). Because I had an appointment this time, I did not have to wait for very long. Although I still had to wait, for a while, it was nothing compared to the wait for my amnio, for which I had to join the queue. Mum and I had arrived at about 9:45/9:50 for my 10am appointment, and I was shown to a sonography room at 10:30am. I was done by abt 11ish and went over to Dr Kee's for my appointment.
Baby was very cooperative during the scan and was in position (not like during the Oscar Scan) and did not bound around too much (which it does not usually do, anyway). The sonographer took some measurements of different parts of the baby, and was a little concerned about Baby's right lateral posterior horn which was 'prominent'. She called in another sonographer to confirm her measurements. Apparently, it could be a marker for something (which she did not elaborate on). So of course that got me a little worried. After she had taken all the measurements, she called Mum in for a look at the baby.
Anyway, the little one weighs 382g, has short legs, a big abdomen and is a boy!
After collecting the report, Mum and I trooped over to Dr Kee's, which was surprisingly empty, so we did not have to wait very long to see him. According to their records, I've put on 6kg (arrggghhhhh!!!!) since the start of the pregnancy. Anyway, Dr Kee did not seem very concerned about the prominent posterior horn, so I feel a little more relieved (but not completely) about it.
