My hopes and wishes for you

My dearest, my sweetie, my heart, as you lie in my arms, I think about what I want for you.

I want you to be happy.
I want you yo be healthy.
I want you to know that I love you.
And that I always will.
Forever and ever, no matter what.
I want you to be self-confident.
I want you be be independent.
I want you to be well mannered.
I want you to be kind.
I want you to be helpful.
I want you to be appreciative and not take anything or anyone for granted.
I want you to lookout for those weaker or less fortunate than yourself (including animals),
and yet not be intimidated by those who have more.
I want you to be loving.
I want you to be well-groomed and take pride in your appearance and yet not be vain.
I want to be spiritual and God-fearing.
I want you to be open-minded and non-judgemental.
I want you to be friendly.
I want you to be wise.
I want you to be successful.
I want you to be cultured, to appreciate art, music, books and beauty.
I want you to be determined but not stubborn.
I want you to always do your best and give your all and not take the easy way out (but be smart about it).
I want you to be able to work hard and work smart.
I want you to be mindful of cleanliness, but not be afraid dirt/dirty work.
I want you to be honest.
I want you to be happy.
I want you to be healthy.
I want you to be loved.
I want you to love.

I know that if you are to be all I want you to be, I've got my work cut out for me, but for you, it is worth it.
